Hello! My name is Melanie and I’m the Baad Mom to 6 little lambs. What makes me a Baad Mom? I have no filter, I don't take them to church as often as I should, sometimes I let them eat fruity loops for dinner, I listen to music they probably shouldn't be listening to, and I pretty much let them rule the pen. I got tired of trying to be a “perfect” mom and feeling like I was failing every day, so now I own it -- I'm not a perfect mom and I'll fly my baad mom flag proudly. Are you with me in this club? If you’re tired of striving for the un-reachable goal of total perfection, this is the yarn shop for you.
Do you believe in the power of yarn to transform lives? Maybe it sounds a little bit "woo woo" to say it, but I do. Dyeing yarn has changed my life - and I hope that by practicing my art, I can help inspire others.
You see, there was a time in my life when I felt like I couldn’t use my voice; dyeing yarn gave me my voice. I was able to express myself however I wanted and people liked it! I’ve been pushing those boundaries ever since, finding my voice again and again with each new colorway. I hope that knitting and crocheting with these yarns gives you the same feelings of confidence and empowerment.

So go ahead - grab your favorite skein and cast on something rebellious. Something frivolous. Something that’s just for YOU.
You may notice a bit of a Celtic vibe around here: that's a nod to the Irish part of my ancestry. I'm not 100% Irish, but I've always loved the culture and am proud to be a part of it. Click here to read more about that side of the Baad Mom Yarns story.
Stick around - I think you’ll find this is a place where YOU can find your own voice. Wanna share your voice with other like-minded “baad women,” too? Click here to join our Facebook group! I hope to see you around soon.
