Tiofáine (Bótun) \\ Hand dyed wool yarn
Tiofáine was created for one of my amazing customers. There isn't a Gaelic name for Tiffany so I did a little research. Tiffany means Epiphany so the Gaelic translation would be Epiphany > Tiffany, hence, Eipeapháine > Tiofáine following the conventional methods of the Gaelicisation of names. I thought it was a lovely name! This stunning hand dyed colorway has a semi-solid grey base punctuated by dark green speckles.
Bótun means mistake. These skeins have areas of light pink. It doesn't look terrible, it's just not what this colorway is supposed to look like.
